Minimum Wage in NZ has Increased from 1st April 2022
Minimum Wage Increase
As of 1st April 2022, The minimum wage will increase from $20.00 per hour to $21.20 per hour for all adult workers in New Zealand.
What does this mean for you as an employer?
For Your Expenses:
As a business, this means that you will experience a slight increase and added pressure on your pockets as a business. Which may indicate an increase in your pricing to your customers. This definitely reflects the importance of ensuring that you have the best culture fit for your business in relation to staff to maintain the quality of your customers and the quality service and the product being sustained by your business.
What you should do:
Invest in Recruitment drivers to ensure that you have the right people placed in the right area of your business to further maximise profitable outcomes and customer satisfaction outcomes. From 1st April 2022 you will be required to increase all staff wages for all individuals that are considered as Working Adults whom were previously paid minimum wage prior to 1st April 2022. All wages must be paid at the rate of a minimum within accordance to $21.20 per hour.
